My first project at Marketo was leading the research and design of Marketo’s second product, Sales Insight. It came in two parts — an add-in for Microsoft Outlook and an Salesforce AppExchange application. Both parts needed requirements gathering, user interface design, and developer scoping.
After launch, sales of the product exceeded our estimates, and it quickly became an indispensable tool for our and our customers’ sales teams.
Below are some bits I made for this project including mockups for the AppExchange and Outlook pieces. Not included below are the interviews I had with over twenty customers and internal design sessions to finesse the product. This was a huge project, and it took the coordinated efforts of many of us to get it out the door.
