[Unfortunately I can’t show you any pictures of the work I did on this team. Please ask me if you would like to learn more.]
As a product manager on Google Wallet, I was responsible for making the app more compelling and grow the user base, particularly for tap-and-pay. Working with a UX, marketing, and engineering teams across several locations, some of my accomplishments include…
- launching Host Card Emulation for tap-and-pay in conjunction with the KitKat and Nexus 5 launch
- partnering with companies in the payments space to grow the tap-and-pay ecosystem
- leading a secret project for Wallet, working in conjunction with several teams across Google
- working closely with the UX team on incorporating user testing and usability results into the product
- pushing the team to adopt a more agile development system including a product backlog
- ramping up on the payments space and becoming an expert on tap-and-pay systems
- helping new PMs acclimate to the Google environment
Though I didn’t spend much time on the team, I’m happy that I had a positive impact on the team and earned the respect of my peers in such a short time.
